POSITION SUMMARY

Are you looking for a dynamic, fast paced and continuously growing medical billing career? Due to revenue cycle platform growth, GBS Convergent Solutions  in partnership with GBS Corp, is looking for ambitious, motivated individuals to join our team!

This position will assist customers both internally and externally with IT Support, Analytics and Hardware needs.  This department provides 24/7 coverage in a Healthcare, Revenue Cycle Management, market.  It is expected that this position will be available for coverage at times, both overnight and weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform daily checks on critical Revenue Management Cycle processes
  • Provide Financial Reporting for the Leadership Team and by request
  • Monitor the end to end processing of files for all aspects of the business including charge, demographic, claim & remittance files
  • Monitor & maintain essential daily infrastructure functions of the Information Technology department. Functions include data closet operations, server performance & health, backups & disaster recovery, antivirus & malware protection, printer maintenance & troubleshooting
  • Provide support for 300-400 users (50 Internal, 250 300 External)
    • Solve client connectivity/printing/general usage problems via Remote Control Software (GotoAssist) to solve client issues
    • Assist with hardware deployment, maintenance & upgrades (PC/Workstation)

 

  • Provide first level application support for required business applications (Medicare Easy Print, NextGen, Microsoft Office 2010 Office 365         
  • Maintain knowledge of IT systems & technologies

 

  • Maintain vendor communication for printer functionality
  • Provide Active Directory maintenance. (User Creation, Group Policy Management, etc.)
  • Standard data room operations. (Backups, Anti-Virus, Power Management, Environmental Controls, Etc.)
  • Assist with server migrations. (Hardware, O/S & Software upgrades)
  • Maintain cabling infrastructure from desk to data closet
  • Maintain inventory of all supplies needed for operations. This includes office supplies, claim forms, toner, and ink cartridges for the office printers, etc.; responsible for ordering items as necessary
  • Provide 24 hour on-call support for occasional client issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or assume additional responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formal post high school information technology degree or certification
  • SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) Knowledge
  • SQL Query Language Knowledge
  • Ability to build financial reports
  • Must have the dexterity and sight to use basic office equipment
  • Excellent communication skills required both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with administrative staff, physicians, patients, families, employees, as well as external customers
  • Must be able to work flexible hours when needed and occasional extended hours when necessary
  • Effectively cope with change
  • Orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently; detail oriented
  • Establishes clear directions; clear communicator; Must maintain open communication with senior management and staff
  • Widely trusted; keeps information confidential; maintain confidentiality for employees and clients within a HIPAA secure environment
  • Ability to travel out of state when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS 

  • Normal office environment
  • Sit for long periods of time; manual dexterity, use a calculator and to operate a computer keyboard; frequent mobility required to access files; bending, stooping, walking and lifting required
  • Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary with occasional extended hours when necessary
