POSITION SUMMARY

Are you looking for a dynamic, fast paced and continuously growing medical billing career? Due to revenue cycle platform growth, GBS Convergent Solutions  in partnership with GBS Corp, is looking for ambitious, motivated individuals to join our team!

This position must be able to demonstrate proven success achieving goals and exceeding client expectations while working with healthcare clients within Revenue Cycle Management. This person must be able to develop strategic messaging based on understanding target audiences; must have extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry and related regulatory, compliance and legal issues; must be an exceptional writer; must be a creative thinker; must take initiative; AND must be passionate about developing a team and helping grow the company through client relationships, implementations, service support, training and sales opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relations and Account Management

  • Develop long-term client relationships based on a track record of exceptional client service
  • Identify and pursue prospective clients and/or opportunities; work in collaboration with the sales team
  • Become an expert trusted resource for clients and levitate executive team
  • Lead strategic direction and ensure goals and metrics are met
  • Lead weekly client meetings
  • Participate in in-person client meetings and provide strategic counsel
  • Take initiative and be self-sufficient based on previous experience managing teams and clients; must be solutions oriented and proactive
  • Act as a day-to-day contact for client accounts
  • Manage day-to-day efforts necessary to ensure high quality results and deliverables for clients that exceed expectation
  • Travel to client meetings and tradeshows/conferences as needed
  • Maintain client accessibility during out of office hours as needed

Leadership

  • Interview candidates for open positions
  • Provide and direct training for new hires and existing staff
  • Perform employee performance evaluations; perform employee coaching, counseling and distribute corrective actions with HR guidance
  • Address performance opportunities of direct reports firmly and in a timely manner; uses good judgment when difficult decisions are necessary
  • Monitor and approve the team's attendance and time off requests
  • Review and approve overtime requests from the department staff
  • Set and be an example of leadership among peers
  • Ensure smooth operations between the team and other departments
  • Provide recommendations, and suggestions for best practice or process improvement within the department
  • Work independently and with the team to meet and exceed overall operational objectives through a comprehensive and well documented process
  • Demonstrate awareness and compliance with GBS-CSI Policies and Procedures

Management

  • Actively participate as a member of the management team to synthesize best practices and coordinate RCMS strategy within the Department
  • Coordinate top down and bottom up communications from Director of Operations to foster integration and service quality initiatives
  • Produce reports, presentations and other materials for management team
  • Delegate duties to the team to ensure efficient processes
  • Relates well and motivates all types of direct reports
  • Develop direct reports professionally
  • Manage account budgets

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements)

  • Minimum 5-years' experience in a physician practice administration or Revenue Cycle Management
  • Excellent communication skills required both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with administrative staff, physicians, patients, families, employees, as well as external customers; Must maintain open communication with senior management and staff
  • Must be able to work flexible hours when needed and occasional extended hours when necessary
  • Analytical; ability to research, analyze and train on data and reports

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS 

  • Normal office environment
  • Sit for long periods of time; manual dexterity, use a calculator and to operate a computer keyboard; frequent mobility required to access files; bending, stooping, walking and lifting required
  • Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary with occasional extended hours when necessary
